It is a waterproofing membrane made of APP (Atactic Polypropylene) modified bitumen with a carrier of glass veil or polyester felt, and its upper and lower surfaces are coated with PE (polyethylene) film. It exhibits high plastomeric properties and is applied with a torch or hot asphalt.
Izofalt waterproofing membrane Promer series is used to achieve water and moisture impermeability in terrace roofs, sloping concrete roofs, curtain walls, and foundations. It can be used as an underlayer for lightweight metal roofs or prefabricated roofs. Designed for temperate climates, it can be used as an underlayer or intermediate layer in waterproofing applications. It is suitable for wet areas such as bathrooms and kitchens, as well as foundations with pressurized or non-pressurized underground or surface waters
The surface to be applied for Izofalt waterproofing membrane Promer series should be cleaned from dust, dirt, rust, and oil, and loose parts should be scraped off. Depending on the applied surface, if necessary, a membrane primer of Izofalt-based waterproofing material should be applied to the surface, and it should be allowed to dry completely before application
The surfaces to be insulated, if made of concrete or finished with a sloping screed on a wooden float, should be clean and dry. Before the application of Izofalt waterproofing membrane Promer series, the surface should be coated with bituminous solution primer IZK-3000 or bituminous emulsion membrane primer, and it should be allowed to dry. Starting from the lowest point of the roof and perpendicular to the slope, the application of Izofalt waterproofing membrane Promer series begins. Izofalt waterproofing membrane Promer series is applied to the surface by heating it with a torch or by pouring hot asphalt in front of it. It is essential to make staggering between rows. For short edge overlaps of the membrane (1 m), leave a 10 cm overlap, and for long edge overlaps, leave a 15 cm overlap, ensuring that the joints are well-adhered. Staggering should be done with 50 cm on short sides and 5 m on long sides between layers.
The rolls of Izofalt waterproofing membrane Promer series should be stored in indoor and upright positions. If the rolls need to be stored outdoors for an extended period, they should be covered to protect them from sunlight. If the rolls are stacked without pallets, they should not be placed on top of each other. They should be stored vertically on a flat surface and in closed environments
