İzomem

İzomem

It is a waterproofing membrane made of fiberglass mesh and polyester felt carrier, modified bitumen with APP (Atactic Polypropylene), coated with PE (polyethylene) film on the bottom surface, and also coated with PE (polyethylene) film on the top surface. It exhibits high plastomeric properties and is applied with torch-on (flame) or hot asphalt for water insulation

Usage Areas

Izofalt waterproofing membrane Izomem series is used to achieve water and moisture impermeability in terrace roofs, sloping concrete roofs, curtain walls, and foundations. Izofalt waterproofing membrane Izomem series can also be used as the bottom layer of insulation in lightweight metal roofs or prefabricated roofs. Designed for temperate climates, it can be used as the bottom and middle layers of waterproofing in wet areas such as bathrooms and kitchens, as well as in foundations where there is pressurized or non-pressurized underground or surface water

Surface Preparation

Izofalt waterproofing membrane Izomem series application surface should be cleaned from dust, dirt, rust, and oil, and loose parts should be scraped off. Depending on the surface to be applied, if necessary, the Izofalt spreading-based waterproofing membrane primer should be applied to the surface to be treated, and it should be allowed to dry completely.

Application Methods

If the surfaces to be insulated are concrete and finished with a sloping mortar on a wood mala, they should be clean and dry. Before the application of the Izofalt waterproofing membrane Izomem series, the surface should be coated with bitumen solution primer IZK-3000 or bitumen emulsion membrane primer, and it should be allowed to dry. Starting from the lowest point of the roof and perpendicular to the slope, the application of Izofalt waterproofing membrane Izomem series begins. Izofalt waterproofing membrane Izomem series is applied to the surface by heating with a flame or by pouring hot asphalt in front of it. Shifting must be done between the rows. In the short side overlaps of the sheet, 10 cm overlap should be left, and in the long side overlaps, 15 cm overlap should be left, and the joint areas should be thoroughly glued. Between the layers, there should be a staggering of 50 cm on the short side and 5 m on the long side

Storage

Izofalt waterproofing membrane Izomem series rolls should be stored in closed and upright positions indoors. If the rolls need to be stored outdoors for an extended period, they should be covered to protect them from sunlight. If the rolls are stacked without pallets, they should not be placed on top of each other. They should be stored upright on a flat surface and in closed environments.
