Patterned Membrane

Patterned Membrane

It is the final layer waterproofing membrane applied with shaloma or hot asphalt, made from bitumen modified with APP (Atactic Polypropylene) and carried by a polyester felt carrier. The bottom surfaces are coated with PE (polyethylene) film, and the top surfaces are coated with PE (polyethylene) film or various minerals. It exhibits high plastomeric characteristics

Usage Areas

Izofalt water insulation membrane, specifically the Izofalt Patterned Membrane series, is used to achieve water and moisture impermeability in terrace roofs, sloped concrete roofs, retaining walls, and similar structures. For upper-layer insulation in lightweight metal roofs or prefabricated roofs, the Izofalt water insulation membrane from the Izofalt series can be utilized.

Surface Preparation

Izofalt water insulation membrane from the Izofalt series should be applied to a surface that is free from dust, dirt, rust, and oil; loose particles should be scraped off. Depending on the surface to be treated, if necessary, an Izofalt spreading-based water insulation material membrane primer should be applied to the surface, and it should be allowed to dry completely before proceeding with the application

Application Methods

If the surfaces to be insulated are concrete and finished with a wooden float and sloping mortar, they should be clean and dry. Before applying the Izofalt water insulation membrane from the Izofalt series, a bituminous solution primer (IZK-3000) or a bituminous emulsion membrane primer should be applied to the surface, and it should be allowed to dry. The application of the Izofalt water insulation membrane from the Izofalt series starts at the lowest point (lowest elevation) of the roof and perpendicular to the slope. The membrane is adhered to the surface by heating it with a torch or by pouring hot asphalt in front of it. Staggering should be done between rows. In short-edge overlaps of the membrane (1 m), a 10 cm overlap should be left, and for long-edge overlaps, a 15 cm overlap should be left, ensuring that the joint areas are well bonded. Between layers, a stagger of 50 cm on the short edge and 5 m on the long edge should be applied

Storage

The rolls of Izofalt water insulation membrane from the Izofalt series should be stored indoors, covered, and in an upright position. If the rolls need to be stored outdoors for an extended period, they should be covered to protect them from sunlight. If the rolls are to be stacked without pallets, they should not be placed on top of each other. They should be stored vertically on a flat surface in enclosed spaces
